Notes From Don....

Greetings fellow members;

First off, I would like to say "Thank You!" to all the well wishes given to me before and after my heart surgery. I am recovering fine, but unfortunately there won't be any horse fun for me until after the first of the year.

The State Fair Draft Horse show was once again an event to remember. I did get to go and visit. My thanks to Linda and Mark Bocovich for stepping in and taking over the KDHMA Booth.

The poker Run was low on people this year, but it went on very well. Charlotte and I did go, but just to sit and visit. I also want to thank Randy and Patricia Foster for setting up the run and I know that they worked hard on getting it ready. Then, thanks to Linda Bocovich for setting up the obstacle course so we could have an extra event.

We did not get to have the fall meeting at the Poker Run as planned because of the lack of officers. At present, plans are being made for setting up a booth at the 2015 Equifest in February.

One thing that is coming up in our annual meeting in February is the election of officers. Please give it some thought about running for an office. Both Charlotte and myself can tell you that it has been most rewarding to us. The offices' open are President, vice president, secretary/treasurer, and 1 director to take Rick Biles' place and a newsletter writer. So again, give it some thought and help out our organization.

With the holidays just around the corner, many of you will be busy driving your horses and getting ready for those special days. Charlotte and I would like to wish you all a Happy Holiday and thank God everyday for this life and just being able to enjoy it.

Until next time. Be safe!

Don
KDHMA President
